Keep Calm and Carry On - Tea!

On the eve of World war 2 the British Government printed 2.5 million Keep Calm And Carry On posters. The aim of this simple five word statement was to convey to the country a message of reassurance for the troubled times that lay ahead.

The posters went unused and subsequently destroyed at the end of the war. Some 55 years later a second hand book dealer in the North of England discovered a copy of the poster in a box of books bought at auction. that find marked the rebirth and launch of the Keep Calm And carry On message into the 21st Century.

..................................................

From the first time I saw this phrase I've always wanted it displayed somewhere.  I could never find one small enough for my little, bitty houze so I made a version of my own.  It is displayed in my bedroom in a frame given to me from a friend.

Then last weekend I found this!

Yes at Home Goods!  For $4.99 it's small enough that I have it sitting on top of my fridge!  LOL!  I love hot tea.  Especially in the evening with a comfy throw watching tv or reading a book.

Although I have not used it yet, I'm Happy!  Home Goods Happy!

  1. I love this sign too. There are many variations out like 'Keep calm and stay awesome' for instance. I love your version and the little one you found thrifting. I have a A4 size in aqua stuck in a drawer....bad!

  3. Thank you Sumaya! While I do love thrifting, the tea bags were found at Home Goods. Do you have a Home Goods in your area? I stopped in there today and they had one box of these tea bags left. I did not buy it, but when I purchased my box they had several. Thanks for visiting and especially for posting!
