I'm right there with you with that pot of beans, which are simmering as I write this and my turkey ground meat is thawing. All I need is to bake a pan of cornbread and it's on in my eating world.

Baby it is cold outside!

Stay warm!

Wow! It is so cold! And snow too! Wow.

Even in the desert, it is cold here too!

Your photographs are lovely. There is something about ice and snow and winter that is so beautiful! Mind you, I live in SE Wisconsin and I hate this climate with a passion! I know you folks in the area here you live don't often get that kind of dreadful weather, and I felt a lot of sympathy. We're expecting between 5 to 9 inches of snow on top of ice-crusted (from the sleet we had on Thursday night, all day Friday) -- depends which way the storm "tracks." Ugh! Your holiday mantel is beautiful. Stay warm and safe this holiday season. These days of global climate change, nobody knows what the weather is going to do!

I am in Western Pa and we've had several snowfalls already but currently it's been raining for days and it is crazy that you folks in Texas had all of that snow and ice! It's backwards weather :)

have a Merry Christmas! :)
